On this page you will find a list of  organisations that engage in research, provide support and advice as well as campaign on various aspects of children’s rights and welfare.  This list is not exhaustive and is very much a work in-progress.  If you know-of or run an organisation that you would like to be added to the list then please let me know via my contact page.

Children’s Rights Alliance of England (CRAE) – Tirelessly lobbies government about changes to children’s human rights.

Get Ready For Change - Is a steering group that is part of the CRAE.  It is child led and lobbies government concerning children’s human rights.

National Children’s Bureau (NCB) – Is an umbrella organisation that supports children, young people and their families.

Barnardo’s – Is a leading British children’s charity that runs with the tag line ‘We believe in children’.

The Children’s Trust - A national charity that works with children with complex health needs and disabilities.

ECPAT – Research, training, advocacy and lobbyist charity that works to raise awareness about the sexual trafficking of children.

Youth Parliament – Is a platform for young people by young people to help promote social change.

Out of Trouble – Is a campaign led by the Prison Reform Trust, which works to reduce the number of children imprisoned within the United Kingdom.

Children’s Commissioner - Currently the children’s commissioner for England is Maggie Atkinson who’s duty it is to promote the views and best interest of children and young people.

Free the Children - Is a children’s organisation that endeavours to free children through education.

Child Soldiers – Works to prevent the use and recruitment of children as soldiers.
